COMIKAZE and WEST HOLLYWOOD HALLOWEEN Parade!
Is this the beginning?
Greetings folks, furries, friends and freaks! J2 here, AKA Johnny Foxtails AKA, the yellow and white fox with the two tails with the blue shirt that says SPEEDY!
Just want everyone to know that next weekend I will be attending Comikaze Con followed by spending Holloween at the West Hollywood Parade (WeHo).
My itinerary is as follows.
LOS ANGELES CONVENTION CENTER
1201 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA (USA) 90015
Comikaze AKA, Stan Lee’s Comic Con: Comic convention hosted by Stan Lee (creator of Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk, etc).
Los Angeles Convention Center
October 27th- 30th
Tickets as of now are $70 for a multi -day pass.
Website: http://www.stanleeslacomiccon.com/
I am staying at a hotel with some friends so it makes it convenient that I do not have to travel to and from the con to my house each day. I WILL NOT be in fursuit during the entire convention period.
Convention times:
Fri. October 28th, 2016, 5pm - 9pm
Sat. October 29th, 2016, 9am - 6pm
Sun. October 30th, 2016, 10am - 4pm
PLEASE NOTE: These are panel and sales times.... however, other side events do take place at the convention center earlier and later. Photoshoots and costume browsing is all day until closing.
I will be checking out of my hotel at noon and plan to be in WEST Hollywood by 3PM.
West Hollywood parade (Weho): Not so much a parade, but just an area to walk around, view costumes, take pictures, take part in contest and dancing, food venues, be on TV, etc. It's crazy... but fun . It is a long walk, so bring water or some type of thirst quenching liquid! You will need money if you want to buy food. Most vendors take cash-only.
Meeting area will be at the West Hollywood NORMS restaurant.
NORMS
470 N LA Cienega Blvd
West Hollywood, CA 90048
Parking is hard to come by in this area... so the earlier you arrive, the easier it will be to find parking. I usually park on Croft Ave, which is two blocks behind NORMS. Most streets have permit only parking... and certain areas have 2 hour parking, which ends after 6 PM.... meaning you can stay in that spot until tomorrow morning if need be. There is meter parking and parking lots that you can pay hourly and daily. I will in fact be in fursuit for this event. As a suggestion for some, a spotter may be necessary… and if you get claustrophobic, this event is not for you.
The event is being organized by GROWLY. This is his livejournal post:

I plan to leave the parade no later than 11 PM. Whatever anyone desires to do then, is up to them.
Hope to see you there! For those not attending, have a safe Halloween!
