Jyoo C Thoughts 27: Before the Silence....

General
I've been having a pretty good last few weeks. I got to see one of my favorite breeds of dogs on a walk that apparently has been here the whole 5 years I've lived in this area. I've had happy days and rather decent luck; I've even lost 10 pounds. I honestly HONESTLY hope that everyone else has been having a good last couple of weeks, but the high point to it all has GOT to be just this weekend when
Colby-Hedgey and
Cartoonastic came over on Saturday and spent the night! lol it's no secret that I consider them both very good friends and enjoy hanging out with them during my favorite furry con Megaplex, so the chance to spend some time together outside of the con was something I jumped at eagerly. I don't get to visit my friends often despite my wishes to, if I could I'd love to visit more of my friends and have more over more often!
It started when I got home from work just a few minutes before
Cartoonastic arrived at my house. To say by that point alone that I was excited would be a gross understatement! I hadn't even had enough time to boot up my computer before there came a knock at my door which came as an instant relief from work mode! Cartoonastic got to meet my folks and share in some idle chit chat with my dad as he got a penny tour of my place before he and I set out to the Crystal River Mall. It's an interesting building with a very whimsical design but doesn't have many customers ever so it's a rather relaxed environment. Sadly my favorite antique store in there had closed down as many places in there do, but I digress. Despite the odd driving style of Cartoonastic, I think my favorite time of my visit with him was that long drive to the mall. lol I think that's the longest we've ever actually chatted instead of just battling each other with memes and smack talk; with conversations ranging from other furries to full on economics (you can hear how roaring my social life is from that I'm sure lol) We got the the mall in good time and got to mill around a bit to enjoy the shops still there while we waited for the other guest of the day to show up.
Then, in the parking lot, I came face to face with the endless bundle of energy known as....
Colby-Hedgey !!!! DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUN!!! There's just something so incredible about meeting up with your furry pals outside of conventions and getting to just hang out more than once out of the year! And Hedgey is just as energetic and lovable offline as she is on! We were all happy to be reunited and shared some funny conversation on the ride back to my place where Cartoonastic and I got into a mock argument over the definition on the correct way to interpret the word Adjacent (Again, rip roaring social life over here!)
lol getting home was another bucket of fun because my mom had just gotten back from wal mart and the second Colby saw her she shrieked out in a cry that would make even an eagle blush "HAI MAHM!!!" before scuttling out of the car and coming inside for the grand tour. The rest of the day was just perfection! We enjoyed some Pizza, got dressed up in costumes (sadly no fursuits allowed) and headed out to a Halloween even, I got to pet a sheep along with other such animals, came home and did an art jam together in my room, watched Zootopia, and enjoyed each other's company before gearing down for the night!
Zootopia was rather an interesting experience for me because I've been wanting to see it for AGES now. I'll not be going into my full thoughts of it here in this journal because I kinda have mixed feelings for parts of it. lol I'm actually thinking of doing a review of the movie for Youtube; let me know in the comments if you guys are interested in seeing me review stuff : D
Then, to start off today I cooked up a batch of my from scratch Chocolate Pancakes, even mixing the chocolate powder with sugar to get that right flavor, and afterwards we took a small walk around the neighborhood before going back to the Crystal River Mall to send Colby home and let Cartoonastic head back to his home as well. I thank them both for their time coming over and Cartoonastic for driving as much as he did. It was a great experience lol and I find myself feeling out of place in the silence in my house without the. I hope to do this again real soon and maybe try to get some visits in with my other pals like
NicholaiGaul Anyway I hope everyone else is having a great weekend and enjoying Howl-o-ween!!
