Game project update
Well, some of you might be wondering the progress of the game projects so far.
Well, The Six Realms, my RPG project should be about finalized sometime in November of this year.
Tales of the Darkside will start being worked on pretty much as soon as The Six Realms goes live on Steam. The new playable character tally will actually be 14 characters. 6 from me, 6 from
gspanovich and one hidden character from both of us. Each character will have 6 stages to play through to tell a personal story of that character and once you beat Story Mode with that character you unlock a new stage that you can play on Free Mode. There'll also be alternate paths in the game that can only be opened if you're using a particular type of lightsaber or character that uses that lightsaber at that moment, but some of these areas are only available on a certain character's stage as other characters might not play on that stage. The game is also planned to include a co-op mode so you can play with a friend locally or through Steam and choose which of the two playing characters you play through the story of if you take on Story Mode in co-op. It'll be a fair amount of work, but for a good game, fair amount of work gives a fair amount of results.
Following Tales of the Darkside's completion, I'll finally work on the very first game of Exhibition Fighters. And you'll like what I have planned. The fighting game will still have it where 14 of the 20 playable cast will be available at the start and you have to beat the game like 6 times to get all 20 of the playable cast, but depending on how well you do, you can fight against unplayable characters, such as Master Sako Gunai, Roox's combat teacher. You'll even have access to art of these characters by myself and other artists as long as you beat the game with the character that's depicted in the artwork. I also want to have an animated introduction for both the game and each of the 20 playable characters as well as the characters' endings, complete with voice acting. You'll also have the Adventure Mode, which is a platformer styled game using the cast, following the story of the comic I'm working on for Exhibition Fighters. And as you progress through the mode's story, you'll unlock the comic pages available for reading in the gallery up to the point of the story you played to. Adventure Mode will also allow up to 4 players, so you and 3 of your friends (local or online) can tackle the story together as a team. Also, I'm thinking of including another game mode of Team Battle mode, where you can play in 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 matches with you controlling a team of fighters or have your friends join you and have them control the other characters on your team allowing up to four players being on a single team either locally or online. With Team Battle Mode, this is the only mode that will allow the most players to play in as 2v2 you can play either locally or online, but when it gets to 3v3 or 4v4, the other team, if player controlled, will have to be players from online and means there can be up to 8 player playing in just one fight.
After the first Exhibition Fighters game, I'll see about getting Chronicle of Nightmares into production, which unlike the other games will be using 3D graphics for the game. The game will be of an unconscious mind that you have to guide through ten nightmares and back to reality. However the nightmares are there to test the person's will to live. Die in the nightmare and the person dies as well. No pressure :p
As much as I would like to get my MMO Horror RPG going, Brimstone Road is the largest project ever and would take a lot, a LOT of funding to pull it off. So once Chronicle of Nightmares is completed, depending on how my funds stand, I might either work straight on Brimstone Road or work on Brimstone Road while getting the sequels of Exhibition Fighters made to build up funds for Brimstone Road.
Anyway, there's your game update, I'm going back to sleep for now
