National Novel Writing Month!
So, every year I *want* to participate in NaNoWriMo but I don't because... well, originally because November was a very busy month for school and involved a lot of exams. Later, after graduation, it was because of my health issues.
This year I've decided to participate for real. Only, instead of writing a novel, I'm going to write a script for a graphic novel project I've been tossing around in my head for a while. The working title right now is Magic Words. It's an anthro comic (more on the feral side--planned anatomy less Blacksad and more Zootopia). It's going to be a fantasy epic. I want it to contain episodes kind of like Mushi-shi, if you've ever seen that anime. Right now I'm looking at something like ten to fifteen separate, somewhat self-contained, interconnected episodes/comic issues. No idea what the page count of each episode is going to be yet.
I was doing freewriting and worldbuilding on Nov 1st, and I skipped Nov 2nd due to an unexpectedly long day at work. Today I'm hammering out the rest of the outline and I'm going to try and import the scenes I've already written to Celtx. Since comic scripts don't have a standard format, I've decided to write it in a visual screenplay format, and then break it up into pages, panels, and word bubbles when I'm going through the final draft.
NaNoWriMo is just about getting the first draft down on paper, so that's what I'm working on now! :D

I'm doing WriMo as well! A fantasy thing I've been working on for almost a year now. I'm a slow writer, haha. xD But I hope to get the first draft done this month, so I can take a break and edit it during Camp NaNo later on! ^^
