Every vote does matter. Imagine what would happen if 1 million people would think like you... and the "worst nightmare" would win by 900k votes because of that fact.

Actually, in my jurisdiction, my votes on city stuff maybe matters, the state elections not as much (a significant number of state positions were unopposed), and presidential was already bought and paid for because the electoral college of my state doesn't answer to the citizens and is selected with no civilian oversight.

That's true in general. You're not actually voting directly for a candidate; you're voting for an elector who is pledged to vote for the candidate you choose. Most states have laws requiring the electors to vote for the candidate chosen by the people, so it works out the same in the end.

My state doesn't. The popular vote for the president is a formality... The electoral college votes however they want with no care of the popular vote.

They're not selected by the popular vote, but by the state government.

I detest both of them to be honest, so I had to look at who would be the most likely to appoint supreme court justices that will fallow the Constitution... With 3 to 6 seats to be filled on the supreme court in the next 4 to 8 years Hillary is not the one you want picking the justices that's for sure. We have seen the ones we have now doing legislation from the bench and that's not how it is to be done.

Neither are worth my time from their farce debates.
