Trump in the white house was no surprise to me. What is a surprise to me is that the Republicans also got a majority in House and Senate. Granted, the House majority is by one vote, but it still doesn't bode well.

Trump with a Democratic congress would've been ideal. Someone nucking futs enough that even Putin wouldn't want to try anything because Trump is just crazy enough to push the damn button after him. But with a Democratic congress, he wouldn't be able to enact any of his racist BS, because... yanno... the President is in the Executive branch, not the Legislative, and can't make laws.

Hillary with a Republican congress would've worked too, because Congress would've at least made sure that things are run smoothly, no matter how badly Hillary screwed things up.

But with a Republican majority in both House and Senate... I dunno... I'd like to think that senators wouldn't be willing to let Trump pull that kind of crap, same party or not, because signing on for some of that nonsense is pretty much guaranteed way to make sure you're never elected again.

We can always hope for an asteroid to take care of the problem...

Yanno, had an idea. If you hate both candidates, vote No Confidence. All the millions of votes for like Mickey Mouse or Cthulu that happen? If everyone votes No Confidence, and it gets even like ten percent of the vote... that might actually get the government to wake up and smell the 'you dun fucked up'.

I have no words for how people are reacting. Honestly, I think people are jumping the gun with their judgement and only time will tell as to how this election will turn out. Who knows? For all we know, the next 4 years could turn out to be the best term that the US could've had in years.

I think people need to take each decision with a grain of salt and wait things out.
