If you voted Third Party

You. Did. Not. Throw. Your. Vote. Away.
You were a crucial step towards breaking America out of the two-party system, and you had every right to do exactly what you wanted.
You did not vote for Trump by voting third party. No matter how many times Tumblr or whatever tells you otherwise.
You mattered, and your vote was insanely important.
Think about the future of your nation, not just about the present. Keep at it, you were fucking awesome.
♥~Ary - Not an American who could vote, but a Norwegian, and one that's proud of you at that.
I just don't see how voting for a third party that to a person would be more desirable than two other undesirable candidates counts as throwing away your vote. In the end, you could argue, the vote goes nowhere either way, so how could it hurt?
People hold the right to vote for what they believe in. Even in a sea of bad candidates, you can vote for the party you disagree with the least. That is the better option FOR THE INDIVIDUAL at the time. No rule states you have to chose between republican or democrat.
I also don't understand how you can say "Don't vote to make a change", when that's pretty much what any election is about, the change and future of your nation.
Furthermore, my journal was meant more meant as a reassuring and comforting word in a sea of people telling other people that their decisions were an utter waste. I merely wanted to be kind and extend my support.
One can hope, right?
The worst thing someone can do in terms of change - at least in my opinion - is nothing. And as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day.
