I knew it. Tried to deny it, stay positive, but I knew better. I knew it'd come to this. You'll rarely lose a bet when it comes to the American masses choosing oppression, nationalism, and xenophobia. First day isn't even over, and markets are crashing and Canadian immigration is getting swamped with calls from panicked soon-to-be refugees.

If you're looking for positivity, look somewhere else. There's nothing positive about today. All is not lost, yes. There's still hope. But whatever happiness might be on the horizon, it is not here, not today. Perhaps not for a long time. Only dread and rage and terror.
