Hmm, we'll have to see. For the longest time I was thinking that his lack of political knowlidge would screw him over, part of me still thinks that. I do not however agree with those who wanted him for being not black and not a woman, I don't agree about him completely 180ing the past president's executive moves, I don't agree on his immigration stance or driving focus away from stopping climate change (though using those funds for infastructure is not a bad place), and I defitenly do not agree with his own outdated and mysongistic views of women.

But now I have to shift focus from "could be president" to "is president and will be expected to be president for some time". And with that in mind, I do agree with him on limiting lobbyist influence, I do agree with him encouraging turnover in congress via term limits, and I generally think that his unusual entry will defintely force some kind of change in how the USA operates.

I'm not terribly fond of the Republican party. Although that mostly came about from our govenor and corprate tool. He really sat on a lot of actual social progress and made changes heavily motifated by profit-driven coroporate interests, especially removing union barganing and Medicaid cuts. But we've had to live with him. We'll have to live with Trump, and anger's best used in places where it can actually do something.

Would have wanted Bernie to be on the campaign trail for the Democrats. I was absoutely worried about what values Trump stood for, so I voted against him and still feel like I made the right call. But then again, reality has set in. The bigots that supported him will get weeded out. Actually being president will have to force him to improve.
