Don't Put it Off...
Tuesday the 9th my father had a stroke, a very serious one. He has lost the use of his right side. There is always the chance for recovery but that might be months or years from now.
When this first happened all i could think of was all the stuff I had wanted to do with my dad and hadn't yet and all the things I had never told him. Hopefully I have been given a second chance. Even as sick as he is right now he is still here and I go see him every day in the hospital.
Let this be a cautionary tale to the rest of you.
I'll post art again when i get some time, might be awhile. In a couple days I'll clear this post with a funny thing i did find.

My prayrs are with you.
Here's a first person account by neurologist Jill Bolte Taylor who herself had a stroke in her 30s or 40s. She has some things to say about the way stroke patients are cared for--or aren't constructively cared for, even if the staff means well. She's written a book that's in stores these days.
