any of the above missing and you tend to fail, especially the first and last in the list
What do you guys think are Essential Qualities of being creative?
That's a tough one, but here goes... I believe that creativity is often connected to an observant mind. How should I put it? Well, most people will see a tree and it's just a tree- trunk, branches, leaves, but the creative mind is observing the world from a different perspective; instead of just lumping the pieces into it's schema, it analyzes and appreciates how that branch looks like an arm giving a thumbs up, and how the bark of the tree creates haphazard patterns, and the light coming through the leaves makes shapes on the ground. Viewing the world around oneself not just as the labels assigned to the whole, but for each individual part is, in my mind, an essential part of a creative mind.
What do you think you need to have in order to be creative?
I like to think everyone is creative to a degree, but a willingness to ask "why/what if" all the time can help. "Why draw the horn on the unicorn's forehead, what if I put it on his nose?" It sounds silly, but questioning the standard leads to new ideas.
Also a willingness to push onesself.
I agree with all of it <3
