Florida Sands and Wedding Bells

...Not my own, of course! My BFF/roomate who has been pretty well adopted into my family by both my parents (I've been calling her my sister and will be from now on) is getting married on Saturday. Mom and I made the drive all the way to Florida to help and join her for the occasion. We get one day to visit the beach and collect seashells and ease the bride's nerves, and then it's the big day. Immediately the morning after, we'll be making the 12 hour drive back home.
I've never been this far from Texas before, and I've certainly never been to a manicured beach in a tourist town before. I'm nervous and excited for the wedding, guilty for "being away from work" when I'm so behind, and excited for the beach tomorrow where I'll have something of my first real vacation. I've been told repeatedly that the beach we're visiting is beautiful.
In other news, someone suggested using unconventional organization apps to combat my adhd. I'm giving one a try this month to help me remember meds and hopefully get a grip on my time perception again. Wish me luck!
