Glad you enjoyed it! I always hope the diversity of the Paw-Posts offer a little something everyone can enjoy - even if only for the interviews and music. XD And I knoooooowwww... good gods, the details are amazing. What's even more crazy is that what you see on Deviant Art is only half (or less) the resolution of the full renders. I have never seen anything like his work in terms of sheer detail.

So far! Are you finding it pretty easy to read and go-over?

Yes. The colour formatting for who is speaking is working well, the multiple music pics are interesting (even if some of them are awful ) ). The runner-up category tag is always interesting too.

The only thing that seems to be in decline is less commentary on individual pics. Lot of work, I'll wager. But it might be interesting for (some pieces) to see what TC liked vs. Sera, vs. TK.....etc etc.

Still quite an enjoyable read, even if I don't get to it until Sunday morning.

Yeah - commenting is at a low from all of us, partly due to time, partly because SO much of the thing happens Friday night, so there's not much chacne to comment. I'm trying to get into the habit of getting more links into it earlier, and encouraging the others to put in there stuff and comment when possible. I think it'll happen more as we get more used to it and fall into more of a groove for rolling it out.

So yeah, eventful times lately.... nngh. It makes me happy knowing that you at least are safely up in Canada, and at least YOUR country hasn't completely lost its marbles and regressed 70 years. :P Hold fast to that.

*nodnsods* I certainly hope we stay that course too - the PM just finished a diplomatic visit to Cuba (who we have been open to since the 1970s) and we've already engaged Mexico on NAFTA talks (should we need to get around Trump trying to kill it), and successfully brokered the first step of a Nuclear peace deal between India and Pakistan (supported by 177 nations). Only by extending the open hand of peace and not a closed fist can we make progress for a better world.

Heh, I KNEW you'd like the Bitcoon one, lol. Yeah, I supposed I would need to get into the habit of checking for a micro-dory any time I went to put boots on. Hard to blame ya there though! And yeah the perspective was amazing in KrazyKurt's - plus the techie theme to hit was cool too.

Lady Rain was a lovely interview! I've wanted to interview her for a while and it was Skye who helped get it arranged. I really love it when the artist themselves is into footpaws as well; it's so neat to hear how each of them are.

That touches on one of my lingering hopes in the wake of the election... be it international trade deals, social progress and civil rights, or most especially the Paris climate agreement and other moves to divest from fossil fuel dependence... that even if Trump and a Republican-led Congress are able to pull the US back in time 70 years, that the rest of the global community will keep moving forward. The US is a major power in the world, but I feel like the rest of the global community is forward-looking enough by this point that even if the US does back out, they'll keep going and it'll ultimately hurt the US more than anyone else as it gets left behind while the rest of the human race progresses and seeks to actually solve the climate crisis. No more waiting around on a confused, backward country riddled with anti-intellectualism to see if it'll catch up or not.

Anyway! Yes, yay for all the paws. ^^ And yay for the interview with Lady Rain too! As you say, it's so much fun when the interviewee is into paws too, and hearing what they enjoy about them, as you say.

Mmf... I really, really hope that in two years, Americans get out and vote en-mass to get the republicans out of the house and senate. What gets me is that Trump didn't win because Most Americans voted for him - only 26% of the nation voted for him, because only 55% of the nation's eligible voters voted. Ouch. In two years, the votes for house, senate and governor seats come up, so if the US gets it act together, they could at least put up a barrier to everything Trump might want to do.

And yar, Trudeau is wrapping up his Latin American diplomatic tour in Argentina today. I'm glad he's being so open and engaging in a time when the rest of the world seems like it's trying not to. :)

Voter turnout is ridiculous. The US Electoral College system is ridiculous. A lot of people in America just feel left behind by the established system I guess, despite Obama's high approval ratings, and wanted to vote for a change. And despite Clinton's massively more worthy qualifications and experience, people saw her (not entirely unfairly) as very much of the DNC's long-term political and financial establishment. So yeah, I'm really hoping after two years of... whatever happens, people realise that not all 'change' is good change, and give the House and/or Senate back to the Democrats. And we can go from there. I'm also hoping that a lot of Trump's horrifying rhetoric on the campaign trail was just sales pitch, and as a president he ends up being a bit more measured and mellow. And that he's managed to piss off the Republican establishment enough that even they won't let him get away with anything TOO insane.

Yes that's right. The Republican obstructionist bastards in Congress who did everything they could to fight Obama's attempts at nationwide progress over the last eight years, are whom I'm now looking to to protect the rest of us. Sort of paints the picture for you, doesn't it?

I've been following politics and the news but to my admitted shame I haven't followed what Canada and your PM have been up so much. That's really neat. :) And as you say, especially now. Feels like the rest of the civilised world is kind of trying to pull together and do good works in spite of the Trump situation. Thinking of the meeting in Morocco as well, where all the other signatories of the Paris agreement are getting together to basically say 'if the US backs out of the climate deal, screw them, we'll just save the world without them.' I salute this.

Oh...yeah, this was that week, wasn't it? I don't know. I don't really want to get into politics (I kind of already went on my version of a tirade the night of and in the days following), but I'll at least say that we're in agreement. And that my faith in people of voting age has...well, pretty much dissolved.

But enough about that.

I really enjoy the character design in FayV's feature -- the colours compliment each other really nicely, and those little hints of blue really pop out beautifully against the white and yellow. :D

My favorite is RedFeathers's feature though -- holy crap, what a cool concept! I've always enjoyed ideas like this, where a piece of art pops out of the canvas, and this is no exception! Beautifully done!

Good choices! And yeah... actually good point; the technical brilliance of RedFeather's piece is impressive when you think about how seamlessly that was pulled off.

I tried a couple of times when I was younger and completely messed it up, so I've got infinite respect and admiration for any artist who can convincingly pull off that illusion -- MAJOR props to RedFeathers for sure! :D

*nodsnods* I can't even imagine trying that. I would, however, love to experience that. Like I said in my comment on it - if that happened when I was drawing, I would be much more encouraged to keep at it. :3
