Stream Teething

Okay guys, I finally got round to purchasing a capture device for my YouTube live streaming. More specifically I got an Elgato Game Capture HD card. I've figured out how to physically connect the hardware between the consoles, laptop and TV. I'm able so see the games being displayed on my laptop through the capture software I downloaded from the card's support site. I even verified my YouTube account, so I'm now eligible to do live streams ^^ However, there are still a few things to sort out before the stream can work, so bear with me. Hopefully I'll be sharing my game sessions tomorrow once I've got a better understanding of how everything works. See ya soon!

Once everything is physically connected, you'll need to install the encoding software onto your laptop/PC. You can find the encoding software required on the corresponding website for your capture device.
If you have a YouTube account, you'll need to validate your channel so you can be elegible to stream for more than fifteen minutes. The validation process requires either a phone or mobile number so YouTube can send you a six digit code via text or automated voice message. I'm not sure how it works on Twitch though ^^;
It would be worth mentioning that It's more straight forward on modern consoles like Xbone and PS4, because they have streaming capabilities built in.
I hope this helps :)
