Needs and Wants

This is a topic that has come up on occasions, especially when it comes to media, food, and pretty much everything else.
The reason I am bringing this up is, I have noticed that people have complained about certain things not going being the way they want them to be, for example, not getting an episode that helps develop Flash Sentry, media to stop portraying reptiles as evil most of the time. I know that feeling cause there were times where I have fallen in that category. But let me ask you this, what is more important the wants or the needs? Personally, I believe it's the latter.
Some people believe that what we want and what we need are the same thing, but they're not. Wanting something means you desire something greatly and it doesn't always last long and it doesn't help in the long run of thing, needs like food and clothes they are more important cause all living things require substance to survive, such as a plant needs water and sunlight to grow.
And besides even when do get what we want, it's either it's not what we asked for, or it's not enough. And that just furthers my belief that needs are more important.
So I wonder is getting what we want really necessary if we're just going to nitpick and criticize it when it happens? Leave a comment and tell me what you think, my fellow FA users.
