Well....there are lots of Technical MOS you could choose from, dont need to go 0800 or something. The problem is, even if its just reserve, they can still send you out to Iraq or Afganistan, so you should be aware of that, but if you dont have a problem with that, then join em. The pay is good, the traning and schooling is good and you will get around, but rember, its still the military so its not a walk in the park, speically Marines.

So, its up to you.

Aye, I'm in college right now and I anyway planning on joing the Officers militarya fter college so I might as well get exp and get college funding now why I am at it. The only problem is that in my immediate area is known as 'The Boondocks' I talked with the Marine recruiter and he said the only local jobs for reserve are mechanics :P

I have noproblem risking my life or my country. My lil brother is doing it. My Grandpa did it my great-bastard Grandpa did it. A fewgreat unlces did it too. Not to mention that My aunt was in the police, my grandma is the daughter of a once police commissioner in New York City-the Same Grandpa served in the NYC too.

Marines are more specialized for water-based warfare. I'd suggest Army, because they would have more options, I think. Then again, it's whatever pays better.
