The difference between my most recently updated painting of Hane and the one I submitted a year or two ago is startling. That whole 'family member's tutelage' has paid off in spades, and looking at it, I'm really just astonished; I owe so much to so many for it. There's a lot of work along the way I didn't post, mostly because they're just sketches and the like - maybe I'll throw them into scraps? - but this piece really makes me feel like I may have finally arrived at some semblance of talent. I'm not done, I have oh, so far to go, but it's okay to stop and take a break and admire how far I've come, right?

Bonus points if you noticed the enormous green gash in the middle of the fucking thing though. Maybe I'll get rid of that and reupload it. I didn't notice it, though, and it was up for quite a while before a friend pointed it out. Maybe I'll leave it - just to see how many people notice it, and how many people just ... enjoyed the other parts.

(Edit: I resubmitted it without the gash because I also forgot to sign the image. Oops!)

Should I open myself up to commissions? I still have a ton to do, and I haven't drawn a lot, but maybe I could do some cheap ones for black and white sketches or paintings. Maru has dibs on the first one if I do, but is there much other interest yet?
