Know that feeling, just got time to chat with friends after long time without my schedule interfering.

i work from 5am to 3pm lol impossible to talk "alot" xD

That's quite bad shift to be honest, but mine is kinda the same? I go to school from 2-8 plus transportation time so I basically arrive my home by 9

since 99% of my friends are US timezone , theres a 9hour or 8hour difference soo when its 3am for me , its like 7am for those "US friends" xD, and if i go to sleep at 10pm (my time) = RIP

On my side the problem is that "I" don't have enough time to talk with people. My schedule tends to be quite random most days of the week, so yeah... I'm hoping my schedule will normalize one day and I'll be able to dedicate some time for myself without interruptions XD

Dunno, I guess it depends on the sort of people you have as friends.

Some don't mind being the ones always initiating contact. Others start to resent that they're "the only ones doing anything to keep a friendship going".

Heh wont lie, kinnda sucks when you stop talking to someone and then months and months pass, and they like... just fade away. As if the whole friendship never mattered. And ive gotten the whole: "im terrible at being in touch and keeping in contact!" explanation too. And sometimes, ok, sure I get it. But sometimes I get mad. Feel like: "come on! How can you say this matters to you, if, if I go quiet, youd never say a word again and just let it die out? Just because you cant be assed to throw ONE hello every now and then compared to every time I do it?"

Heh... whew... you can kinnda tell ive been dealing with that XD Sorry... but, again if your friends know how you are man, and know you're true, then dont worry about it. But sometimes just dropping a "hey sorry i havent chatted much, been busy!" does more than ya think.

well to me it's kinda sort of i still remember ppl, things about them , and suddenly if we do get to chat theyre like " omg u forgot me , blah blah blah why havent u said anything " that kind, aside from the permanent and often time difference of around 8hours , and work and this and that , its often hard , and the fact of knowing like 50000000000 ppl doesnt help xD
