Not quite. It's the bell-shaped gizmo right up against the wall of the house. Which turned my cactus garden into a louisiana swamp. I had to dig up and pot about 30 cacti. Fortunately, I remembered to wear gloves. And it was a success. Mostly dry now, so this weekend after a hell of a turkey day, I am gonna replant the garden. The true irony in all of this, is that I needed to weed that plot of dirt anyways...now I don't have to worry about the plants. >.>! Where's mah hoe? And mah shovel? Also, I am gonna use those two things to brain the idiots working the apartments who didn't shut off the water to their apartment, just cut the flow, so the pressure backed into the street main. Causing the shenanigans.

....if that had happened HERE, over Thanksgiving weekend, I'd have a very dangerous skating rink in my yard. Could be worse. ;)

Same for me. Trying to lay low on the finances after my brother's wedding earlier in the month. The wheel hub bearings went cock eyed in my murano the week after. Wobbly, body vibrating humming and clicks and clunks going around corners or parking. *sigh* It never seems to end! >.<

So it sits on a battery maintainer until I scratch the monies together to make a rock auto order for the parts. Living in nowhere, a car dead is a death sentence. :P It's a pain in the arse to do, just ask your mechanic brother what it is like to get broken, rusted in place wheel hubs out is like. Watch his face. Luckily I do have impact tolols and a pneumatic chisel, so it should go faster...just got to hold on until I can splash out on the bearing assemblies. I might get lucky and make the cash up soon...

I have a friend that needs work done on his Saturn Vue. He described it as possessed, flashing dash lights, reduced power mode on the DIC, service, check engine and no alternator output lights coming on before the cluster dies, power steering cuts out and the headlights start to blink. He still has to get back to me on his day off to knock it out for him. ( I suspect either alternator, fusible link or a bad belt, easy and common fix if the BCM isn't fried, that's a horse of another color ) He said he'd pay me what I thought was fair if I get it going again. I might have him just trade by getting him to drop ship a set of Timken hubs to my street address. ^.^ So good luck and happy turkey day, honey. Wish me a little luck too and pray I do not get crushed under a pint sized SUV...he had a gravel driveway and I refuse to Jack and stand anything not resting on pavement! I'll have to take the passenger front wheel off to test/remove his alternator. :P
