Hey the lights on.
I was bored so I decided I'd make a sort of meme thingy. There's probably hundreds of them floating around like this but, as I belive it was Simmons who said it in Red vs. Blue, "whoopdee fucking do"
1. what kind of artist are you?
I'm mostly a traditional artist with abit of photoshoping on the side.
2. that's cool, why do you do so much in that field
I don't really know. My sister did and alot of my friends did I guess I just tried it and liked it. I've stuck with it longer than most of them though lol!
3. Thats such a great story, do you have any characters and if so, lets hear theirs
Well, there's Jey, a hero of legendary preportions. He's got control of pockets of electricity around him and is basically an electrical mage.
There's Kane, a young Feral wolf taken under a cheiftans wing who became a cheif and led the tribe through to a golden age.
There;'s Fargo Parish. He is a hunter (no not the deer kind, he hunts down beasts of the night) who was rushed through his training and was bitten by a were-wolf, However, through sheer force of purpose, he can control his wolfish state.
and then there's Straight out of Line. He worked as a foot soldier for the New World Order Regime of World government, However after they Decemated his home, Providence, S.O.O.L turned and attempts to overthrow N.W.O with the United people for a better world (U.P.F.A.B.W) who turn out to want to simply change who is where on the N.W.O ladder of command.
and the, there's Dax. A vile and evil, dispicable creation. he lives solely to kill.
then we have Necrotius. He is just a lord of the undead... nothing much else bout him.
also we got Bad to the Bone, He is an overlord who gave up the power to harvest more lifeforce to make his current minions almost invincible and he himselfis also almost invincible.
and we can't forget Burn who was a pacafistic scientist for the Confederates of the starcraft universe. He was drafted for the anamalistic experiments that made him what he is.
and how could I forget Rufus? he is a sporty wolf who hails from the North. His eyes are extremely sensitive to light and he can barely see without his sunglasses. he loves anything extreme and goes through about 4 pairs of pants a day from the wear and tear.
and we'll finish this off with Rorik.
Ah Rorik, the sexy, party boy, god of slaughter who is immortal, 'nough said.
4. wow, those are some great ideas! now, do you have your own art style or a preferred art style? if so, name it and define it for us please!
yes, I guess I'd call it Phil's style. It's a fairly simple and cartoony style yet effective and can express extreme situations and emotions as eaisily as a writer can in a book. It depends more on line art and shape than shading or coloring and expresses most of the emotion through pose of the character rather than facial expressions.
5. Wow! thats a great description. is there some reason you draw like that?
well, to be honest, I started drawing the same way my sister did, I simply used referece pictures and copied it as best I could without tracing it, I than took off the training wheels and stoped using a reference and, well I guess my arts started taking this style from there.
6. u-huh. I see your point. now, where did you're character ideas come from?
well truth be told, I use alot from alot of different things, mix what i like from various characters from my favorite videogames and such, and make a composite of awesome! Jey's hairstyle is very loosely based off of yugi's hair from Yu-gi-oh (I got into that phase to... I am not proud of that year) Kane is based off of were-wolves from hunter the reckoning and van helsing. And for Iron arm, just throw Grevious in the mix. Rorik, is my most original caracter hveing only no basis from real life or otherwise.
7. oh, thats cool. what kinda pictures do you like to draw?
I like to draw really intense action pictures. even in character profile pictures they are usually doing something like jumping.
8. awesome, well. thats about all the time we got. so one last question, what are you looking foreward to doing with your art in the near future?
well, I've been working on afew new characters and thats really about it.
