My favorite art program for the past 8 years or so, is being discontinued for english speaking users. Support and sales will only be through the end of July, then ... nothing.
I'm very very upset.
Open Canvas 4.5PE is what I do 99.9% of my artwork in. I have Sai, I have Painter X, I have Photoshop CS3... but OC4 is my BABY.
this means no upgrades for me, no more 'i lost my serial key'....
It's like someone killed my puppy (and I don't have a puppy).
Ugh... I'm going to go cry over here now, being an art nerd and all...

Well that sucks. I have only ever used oc 1.1.. and it was horrible, only good it is is for the networking stuff. Have been using SAI for a few months now, have had no troubles with it. o.o
I have to have my oc keys for 2- 4.5 to have 4.5 working... so when I install one, I have to have alot of old keys to start it up.
I'm curious though, out of all the other programs you use for your works, what makes OC4 the most appealing to you? Not that I know much about either of those programs since I've never really used any of them before.
Or you could save them in a .jpg typed up in any of those programs and keep the file tucked away on your website in a non-viewable folder, just in case?
Or... just get a crack for it. ::nodnod::
