Hello animals!

So.... We're almost out of 2016!

I wrote a journal entry before this year started and wow, I was so naive, so hopeful, but here we are, 12 months later, sitting in a smoldering dumpster fire and wow, is it FUN.

My mental health has sort of been through the ringer for most of this semester, but I'm finally getting back to my old self! Slowly, but surely. Is this based entirely on external validation? Mmmm yes. Should I go back to counseling for that? Maybe????

Anyway, two cool things happened to me yesterday. 1) New internship! I'm going to be the marketing intern for a local architecture company that designs casinos (my school is right next to Atlantic City, New Jersey... you should visit sometime). 2) My short play is going to be produced for my school's sort play festival!

If there's one thing that I've really gotten out of this semester, it's that I've rediscovered my creative impulses. The structured creative writing of my playwriting class has really gotten me out of the perpetual writer's block. Additionally, I've been writing reviews and pop culture pieces for the school paper and I joined the zine club.

In furry news, I will be attending New Year's Furry Ball in Delaware! This is my first one and I'm awfully excited. Plus I'll be turning 21 this month so somebody's gonna have to handle a drank deer.
