Expanding Story Snippets
General
Hi there folks - just wondering something. There has been temptations on my part to expand on the story snippets I have already uploaded. The problem is...unless I post a notice in my journal, you wouldn't know about it without me deleting it and re-uploading the entire thing, which would wipe out the comments (not something I want to do). So, would people be interested if I add to the snippets and put in an update journal notice - or shall I just keep my updates under wraps and just submit items when I feel that I am 'done with them' in a matter of speaking?

Snippets are nice, it is always nice to get an idea of something.

Well, I try to give snippets on a lot of my work in the gallery, I just sometimes...expand snippets or come back to connect snippets together (as I get closer and closer to the book being done, that is). I was just wondering how to manage such changes and let people know when and where it happens. :)

Well I certainly want to read more of what you write. Journal announcements would be the most straightforward way.

I know I've loved your writing to go with the pictures, however long it's been. If you don't want to get rid of the comments, I'd suggest posting journal announcements, maybe changing the titles of the pictures to note they'd been lengthened, at least for a while before changing them back.

I could do that... when I add to a snippet, just perhaps put the updated date in the title, and put out a journal showing the recent edits for people to comment on?

Could do that. What I meant was adding the expansion to the story, changing the title of the picture to note something like "Expanded story [date]", and put up a journal saying you'd done so. Then after some time, you could change the picture's title back; by then, the people who are watching and interested will probably have read and reacted to it. That would probably keep the comments in the picture itself, if that matters to you that is.
