On this day, 75 years ago, America awoke to news of something that had never happened in her history. She had been attacked. For the first time, a foreign nation crossed an ocean to strike at her shores. 2400 Americans had lost their lives, an entire Fleet destroyed, many of them still in their berths.

75 years ago today, America awoke from a slumber she had entered after World War I. America could no longer hide behind her oceans, she must fight if she wishes to remain free and safe. Within 6 months, the entire country had shifted to war. We not only rebuilt an entire naval fleet, but we made it bigger. Every company, big or small, produced for the war, to bring Justice to those that had attacked our shores, and desired even more death.

Never forget what happened on this day America. Never forget the sacrifices and heroics of Pearl Harbor. Remember the fury that awoke within the hearts of every true American that day. Finally, weep, weep because this would not happen if it happened again today. The America of 75 years ago, the America of the Greatest Generation, is no more.
