Tough Times

What gives you guys comfort when you're feeling down? Bad junk happens, and emotional garbage can accumulate, so what do you do when that gets to be too much? The thing I hear most is that people talk out their problems with other people, but it tends to just be someone else telling me what I already know. Most of the time there's no logical reason for me to feel depressed, but sometimes everything I'm feeling gets in the way of that logic and I feel awful for what I know is no reason.
So when that kind of thing happens, what do you guys do to get back to normal functioning? What helps you the most?

Regardless, I hope you start feeling better soon, GoatTrain.
Personally, I try to distract myself by doing something else. Sometimes even trying to doodle a little on Swapdoodle for 3DS (Could be nice having more friends to share doodles with there.) or on a old college block.
But, I feel like I have to find a professional to talk with to let out some bad out of my system.
If I didn't had so hard to cry, it could've bringed some ease.
Though, I'm not much help. I only hope you'll get well soon.
And hey - You have me on Skype, we can totally talk on other messengers too - Feel free to reach out!
I think friends is a good answer, though! It might be fun to just have people you can share goofy shit with. Like, I'm seriously thinking of a Discord server where posting silly/awesome stuff is encouraged. It might be good to distract yourself for awhile! You know, hang your worries up for awhile, get distracted, and see if you leave with as many worries as you started with.
For the SUPER BIG worries that won't go away, I recommend making a checklist! https://www.wunderlist.com/ is fantastic! You can make notes on tasks, set dates, reminders, etc. Put a list of EVERYTHING that's bugging you, and figure out what has the most dire consequences for not doing them, and then that task is #1, and so on. If something is making me anxious because I'm avoiding it (which is often), sometimes a little organizing can help!
For me, sleeping resets my mood each day, but thoughts still linger for a while. That's why playing games helps take the edge off.
Long story short: If you have GOOD friends they should be able to listen to your problems and support you in SOME way, even it's like a broken record-advise, anything is better than sulking/self loathing in a corner by yourself. But again, people handle things differently, so this kinda affects the whole/final outcome and results.
