Popular Japanese things are usually items associated with Japanese culture. Anime, manga, videogames, music, and related merchandise are immediately "recognized as Japanese." Dagashi is known here just as "japanese candy" usually, and it's generally seen as high quality.
But other items have become so common here, that some people forget they are Japanese! Such as some Japanese electronics (Sony, Toshiba, Sharp, Panasonic, Brother, Casio, Canon, Fujifilm, Hitachi, JVC, Nikon, Sanwa, Yamaha, Wacom), Japanese watchmakers (Casio, Seiko), Sport equipment (Asics), Audio/Musical Equipment (Yamaha, Audio-Technica), Vehicles (Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Honda, Mazda, Subaru, Kawasaki, Nissan, Toyota, Bridgestone) and also photography (Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm).
It's quite normal for someone to drive a Honda car with Bridgestone tires, go home to sit in front of a Sharp television and watch a blu-ray disc on their JVC blu-ray player, with the audio coming out of Yamaha speakers.... and the person may not be aware that they are using Japanese products xD
my brother read this and He very grateful to you. X3
