Spawn~ Mostly cause the comics were great, up to a point it just got...weird. But spawn as a character and "anti-hero" was good. Plus taking a weapon of hell and using it for good is a ironicly funny.

Runner up...Wonder Woman, cause even without her powers she is a bad ass. Also she is hawt.

I don't know much about Spawn, but aesthetically he's super rad! I've also seen about five minutes of the Spawn movie, that was a trip. And who doesn't love WW?? She's a BAMF

Asdfghjkl! I LOVE J'onn! I'm so happy to see someone giving him some love. I love that he's a male "feeler" who's well developed and not feminized because of it (most of the time). I saw him in New 52 and it crushed my soul. He seems so angry and cold... and he's no longer the heart of the Justice League.

My favorite main stream hero would be Green Lantern (either Hal or Kyle). I love the power set, and the character themselves. (My mate often compares me to Hal XD). Hal is a snarky, take no shit from anyone badass.... and then there's Kyle who's a badass artist <3

As far as my absolute favorite? Red Hood, hands down. I adore Jason mother fucking Todd to no end. He's hot, he's got an attitude, he comes with the usual bat-family issues, and, best of all, he's a fucking sarcastic smart-ass. I dunno why, but I've just gotten so attached to the asshole. And seeing how he is with Bizarro in Rebirth *flails*. I know he's been anything from a straight-up villian to an anti-hero, but he's my fave.
Second to him is Nightwing... I have legit reasons, but all I'm going to say is: DAT ASS THO!

I initially hated New 52 J'onn, but he grew on me. He's gone through phases of grump (his mini series was pretty dark and he reflected that), so I just saw it as another phase lollll. What they did to him after that, completely changing his backstory, is what enraged me, but I'm hoping they've retconned that for Rebirth. I haven't gotten caught up yet.

Hal and Kyle are both great GLs! My faves are the newbies (Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz), but Kyle has a special place in my green-spandex-wearing heart. Jason is a great character, too. I haven't been as into some of the later stuff they've done with him, but his background, and the baggage that sets him apart from the other batkids, is pretty great.

They.... what? That pisses me off to no end. I get changing a character's back story sometimes (like making Jason a street kid, rather than a circus kid just like Dick), but not when it makes SO much of the character. It actually bothered me more that J'onn wasn't a part of the JL more than anything else. I'm hoping J'onn will get some respect in Rebirth, but honestly, I'm not keeping my hopes too high. They haven't gone far enough away from New 52, and are still doing some things that bother me (like the fact that there is no Connor Kent/Kon-El. I love Jonathan, but it bugs me that he's Superboy). I'm happy with a lot of the stuff I've seen so far, so I won't be too pessimistic.

I haven't seen much of the newbies, but I did like the little bit I saw of Baz when I was reading the New 52 GL stuff. Hal is just such a force of nature that he's hard not to love. My mate actually compares me to Hal... well.... Hal, Jason and Deadpool all mixed together to form one disfunctional person...... As far as Kyle, I adore him, and I haven't read him all that much.. I fell in love with Jason in issue 3 (?) of Red Hood and the Outlaws for Rebirth. You see him interact with Bizarro and it's so amazing. And Bizarro is shaping up to be a character I have warm fuzzier for.

Nightwing. Def because he's hot. But also because he's a really interesting character. He's more multifaceted than people tend to realize. He's not just the happy-go-lucky, always-smiling ray of sunshine that he's often painted as, but he tries to be. He goes out of his way to do the absolute best he can for everyone. And even when he fails and/or gets upset, he still tries to keep a smile on, at least in public. Sometimes in a healthy way, sometimes not, but either way it's relatable as fuck.

Second is probably Jason Todd, but all my reasons have to do with a long-running rp I've had with my boyfriend so they won't really make sense out of context XD

Actually, i was gonna say third, but tied for second is Spidey. He was the first superhero I was ever interested in, and the one that got me into superheroes at all, so he holds a special place in my heart. I also love that, despite a lot of people complaining about how whiny he is (I disagree), he's actually allowed to be funny and happy and silly, without necessarily becoming a joke character a la Deadpool (who I also love). Too much grimdark in superheroes these days. Lemme have my adorable nerd child.

Also, it's ok... my mate calls me a mix of Jason Todd, Hal Jordan and Deadpool. That really takes some explaining to a lot of people. I also call myself the Deadpool to his Spiderman.... so inside jokes/references abound.

I used to always rag on Spider-Man (mostly cause I'm not into spidey powers overall), but he's probably THE poster child for that kind of character you've described that there really aren't enough of these days (done right, anyway). He's always a fun read! I just wish less of his villains sucked.

I don't think Spidey's villains suck, necessarily. I think it's that, unlike a lot of other rogues galleries, they haven't been properly updated, and a lot of the really neat ones are kind of obscure for some reason. I actually really like what the last Spidey movie did with Electro, who was always kind of the go-to "lol spidey has shitty villains" villain, and I'm SUPER pumped for what the new one is gonna do with Vulture. And then of course he's got all the symbiotes which are probably my favorite comic book villains of all time (plus Scarecrow >_>).

I'm not up to date with Rebirth either. It was costing too much so I had to slow down |D Now I'm just waiting for trades, but I did at least read most of the issue 1's that I wanted to test out.

And that's fair! I did really like Electro in the last film, I was a little surprised the movie did as poorly as it did cause it was actually my favorite Spidey film (and Electro was badass). Vulture, like a lot of his villains, have the potential to be tweaked and portrayed super awesome, but its like you said, a lot are outdated. Then there's people like Rhino who I think is just doomed no matter what you do with him.

And the symbiotes are awesome, they're usually the ones I think of when I say which few spidey villains I DO like. Particularly Venom since I honestly don't know much about the others, I only know him from non-Spidey comics. They're also sexy so there's that.

LMAO basically though. Venom's my favorite but Carnage is a close second. I dunno much about Anti-Venom but he's pretty as fuck. And then there's Toxin who's actually a hero I think?

And I LOVE Aquaman! I think he's a grossly underrated character, especially when it comes to his abilities and how often he's wiped the floor with other presumed stronger characters. He's also very hot 8'D

his history is interesting also he is a red head dork! its just how he uses other people for his big ego to become so far is surprising. also i just love skeletons so his design of a red skeleton is just neat.
:( and then his suit designs are so nice....... hugo weaving was already one of my fav actors in the matrix so when i saw him playing the red skull in the movie captain america i just... exploded rip -slowly backs off-

Red Skull's a cool dude! I honestly know little about him beyond what was shown in the Captain America movie, but his design is pretty solid! And you're right about those nice suits they draw him in <3
