1.) likeing the artist as a person/sympathy
2.) likeing their crafts/products/projects
3.) perks / personal gain

The artist's personality is the biggest factor in whether or not I support their Patreon

Yeah, but I'd say it's more to do with interaction with their audience. I'd probably never support someone who just posts pics and never really communicates with the fans, either through journals, comments or chat apps like Discord or something.

Basically I have to like the artist, not just the art, and I don't like artists who are like "Here is art give me money plz"

Well I'm trying my best to create that kind of environment- voting on what projects are next, etc.

That's good, that kind of engagement creates fan loyalty. Keep it up!
