Another year, another list of bullshit that I have a habit of doing. 2016 was a strange year for me musically as (thanks to a certain few individuals) I found myself getting into a lot of bands I previously had an irrational hatred for just because they weren't 'metal enough'. What I am continuing to discover as I go along is there is always more great stuff out there if you give it a chance, and that is certainly the overall theme of my picks for my favourite records of this year. I will also say that I listened to more new records to come out this year than I have in years past, so I really had to crunch to pick my absolute favourites this time. Anyway, let's do this!
