The story was cute, and I love the tree topper. ;) I don't much like xmas either. Not so much for the presents, I like having an excuse to give silly shit to friends and family, but people being offensively cheerful and even more stupid about little shit (see also red Fivebucks cups, 'happy holidays', the nonexistent war on xmas, etc)... and the sickly sweet xmas music yearning for a time that never existed, the same five or six songs, make me feel like I'm going to be on television with people saying things like 'But she seemed so quiet...'

Oh yes. I did 9 years retail, all of that is my reasoning too.
