I've come to hate the holidays..

Or maybe they hate me.
For the fourth year in a row something has happened that uses every cent we have, meaning we can't even go out for dinner on the holiday with friends or family. The car died a couple weeks ago, then someone rear ended my husband and is clearly an insurance scammer. I dread what she's going to try.
And today.. me trying to at least arrive with something to a party tomorrow, I go to make a batch of cookies.. and the fucking oven isn't working. And since it's Christmas Eve.. no one will be able to consider repairing it for days.
It's like every annoying shit thing that could happen, will. Super frustrated here.
I keep telling myself it could be worse. Could be waaaaaaaaaaay worse, but bah humbug. Nothing good ever happens on the holidays for me. We've lost both my husband's parents and our cat on holidays the last few years, and had something happened that took all our money right when it would have been nice to actually do something to feel better.
Bah! Bah I say. (The internet was down all during the day yesterday, and is unstable now.)

I know sometimes folks try to spin these things in certain ways to make them work out in their favor, but as long as you challenge her on this issue you should be fine, as much as it all sucks.
sorry to hear about the insurance scam. problem is, the pain itself can't be diagnosed, only the cause... which makes it very hard for people who HAVE chronic pain to be diagnosed correctly. but a bump that didn't even damage the paint on the bumpers? it will be hard for her to pull it through. good luck!
and now the oven... I can understand your frustration.
Yeah, I understand very well about pain, but it's more the circumstances than anything else. She admitted working for an insurance company, the 'accident' happened at like 1 mile an hour, pulling out of a parking spot, and the first things she said were 'I'm pregnant, my back hurts, my neck feels funny.' Sorry.. that's not normal to me.
But anyway, hope your holiday goes better. Thank you for thinking about me.
I hope things get better for you! and the insurance scammer.. my folks n i know quite a bit on that, so can try to offer some assistance if you need it!
Thank you though it'll be okay! Heres to looking forward to a better 2017.
