I am all for making cigarettes harder to get a hold of. Even making a single pack cost $20 from tazes sounds more sensible to make more money and cut the number of smokers right? But regulating it this much, makes me feel like I don't have any freedoms. I see this bill more then just a anti-smoking bill, its a bill taking the catch phrase "freedom" out of this country.

I personally would like to see an anti smoking bill passed. Or at least make them much much more expensive tax wise and them put all the tax money into health care or some such. Of course I hate tobacco with a firey passion and would personally love to see the industry collapse. But thats me.

*nods* I think it should be insanely taxed, would make more sense to reap all the money they could out of tobacco and slowly kill the companies at the same time. If they did that, eventually people would get tired of paying that much and would quit.

I would hope so. Tobacco is a horrible thing. I like that it went up a dollar. My dad used to smoke....well still does. Each pack is around $6.50 now that he get's. He's so addicted even though he's not supposed to smoke at all due to health issues he has caused by decades of addiction (And the fact we have oxygen tanks in the house in his room that he needs because he's smoked too much over decades. But at least he dosent smoke in his room and does it in the bathroom but still.). Also his smoking has caused myself damage. I can only take half breaths since about 18 years old (6 years ago almost now).

‘(A) SPECIAL RULE FOR CIGARETTES- Beginning 3 months after the date of enactment of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, a cigarette or any of its component parts (including the tobacco, filter, or paper) shall not contain, as a constituent (including a smoke constituent) or additive, an artificial or natural flavor (other than tobacco or menthol) or an herb or spice, including strawberry, grape, orange, clove, cinnamon, pineapple, vanilla, coconut, licorice, cocoa, chocolate, cherry, or coffee, that is a characterizing flavor of the tobacco product or tobacco smoke. Nothing in this subparagraph shall be construed to limit the Secretary’s authority to take action under this section or other sections of this Act applicable to menthol or any artificial or natural flavor, herb, or spice not specified in this subparagraph."

I'm like a dodongo.. I dislike smoke (xD). But I think it's fine for smokers to smoke in their own private areas, I don't like it in public though :/ it gets in the air and its a terrible thing to breath in secondhandily (word? o.0). Terrible stuff in my opinion
