Hobbies can be a lot of work

As I said in this piece here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22040426/ , with some time off from college I've decided to try my hand at making a little comic. I was inspired by the creator of "Dreamkeepers", in one of his art livestreams I was watching on youtube, how he or one of his guests stated how just drawing sketches and comics alone can heavily improve one's art skill. This was the final straw that convinced me to finally put the post-apocalyptic setting I've had in my head (and in at least half a dozen of my art pieces on here) finally to paper, in the form of a comic with a new storyline and characters. Besides a couple of character sketches, setting the groundwork has forced me to do tons of writing, just to set up the setting/world and a few characters, and I haven't hardly touched the story yet. However though, it has been fun to let my creative side run free. Hopefully within a few weeks I'll have the story down (with dialogue) to begin drawing. Even if I don't get that far, it's still good practice.
