Fa's more accepting and DA' full of potentially more 'normal' people. Good luck finding normal people on here. :) I like it here better, but been considering hopping back on DA for increased viewership and maybe more commissions. Not that I need more on my plate.. hm. Maybe I'll just stay here. XD

Fur-affinity is more accepting if you can approach it without shame. But shame is part of me. The more people I see without any, the less comfortable I feel, because I know I can never be that comfortable. Although having said that, furaffinity definitely has its own "normal" that never accepted me except when I pretended I was someone else. Perhaps it could accept me again once I work through all this. But would I allow it to? That is hard to know.

Don't wait for a conglomerate to accept/understand you. Just do what you feel is best for you. Not to say that you should surround yourself in some sort of echo-chamber, but finding a base collective of people you know who accept you or feel similarly makes it a lot easier to face/experience those who don't with less of a masque as you broaden you horizons/understanding.

I am not waiting! If I waited I would remember: the last impulsive journal did not get you (me) anywhere. But I have competing factions in my mind with very strong opinions on what is "best." Spend a long time on something like I used to or do it quick to get the idea out so I can move on before I miss all my opportunities/become chronically desperate for attention in the absence of legitimate attention-attracting exploits? Or worry that current techniques are producing too little for the amount of time they take and spend extra time learning to do something else that might be even worse?
If I have an echo-chamber, it has never worked in such a way that I trust it, which is "good." But sometimes I do not trust anybody.

It is hard to trust anybody completely, really. I only have people I basically "trust the most". But even that is enough to melt the worries of whether I should spend a super long time or quickly get an idea out for the sake of attention. As for for time spent to production quality, I feel there's no perfect answer for that, honestly. I'd wager it's an age-old conundrum that many artists have all had their own answers for and a lot of them conflicting.
