PvA idea journal (Eating NPCs and the problem with it)

An idea that many people have brought to me for PvA is the ability to eat up NPCs at will. Some people have said field enemies only while some even said any NPC in the whole game. While I can see where this is coming from, I cannot see it the way that most of you see it. As in, you guys see it as a vore-game while I see it as a game with vore in it.
Never the less, I can see some use for the idea... with some difficulty seeing how it would work. I can only see boss related nommming only happening to field type enemies. Mostly the smallest sized Pokémon. Also the feature would have to act like a double edged sword, as to not make the ability to nom and restore HP from easy enemies would be OP as fuck.
One idea I did have was to add the weight to the character so the movement is slower. There could be limited belly space and time to digest each Pokemon the character ate and also. The HP would only be restored after the Pokemon is fully digested.
While yes, as I can see from that how it be an interesting mechanic, I worry for two things. The programing going into it, and if I can even figure out such a system. And two. Not everyone is as into vore and digestion and maybe uncomfortable with a feature such as this. On the other paw, and can lead to more strategy based gameplay. Making you think if you should eat an enemy and suffer slower speeds for a higher HP return, or eat barries for faster speed and instant, if not lower return value of HP.
The thought of pulling an Undertale and having the amount of Pokemon eaten determine something but... I can't figure out how to change the values property to make something like that happen.
Any ideas, yeahs for the ideas here, people not liking any of it, or just want to say something at all. Feel free to leave your thoughts!
EDIT : One more addon to the idea is that the belly capacity and digestion time would get better as you eat more Exstory too. So like at first, you could eat 2 Rattatas and be slowed down and take a while. Later on, you could eat 4 and still have speed, but a larger Pokemon like an Espeon would still slow you down.

Would that work?
If you do end up going through with this idea, I would recommend sort of a scenario where due to the exstroy invasion, the wild pokemon would realize that their chance for survival would probably be better if the allied the civilized pokemon, so they try to make allies, however if the player kills/eats too many wilds, they'll just straight up drop the alliance, and to make matters worse, the game will no longer have 1st tier pokemon enemies, such as the wurmples and weedles, but would all be replaced with their final evolutions, such as dustox and beedrill, thus making the game significantly more difficult.
However this is just a suggestion, and for that matter a suggestion that would take a lot of time and programming; so in the end, like I always say, the final decision should be left to the creator of the game; if you want to add the ability to eat wild npcs in order to regain hp, and even possibly a morals system like that of undertale, that is completely up to you, and I for one will respect your decision in this matter as well as any other matters.
Perhaps another smaller project could be made at some point to test out the idea of everything being edible, but for now it would likely be too disruptive. Especially if you want to try to avoid having the game be considered a pure vore game. Not that I see there being much hope of avoiding that at this point anyway.
