growth (and inspirational game grumps)

Cliche new year's motivation journal ahead that you should totally read...
anyway
my goal is to really take this whole art thing seriously. I don't want to live with my parents forever and I sure as hell don't want to be stuck in retail purgatory for the rest of my life. To change that, I need to take more initiative with the arts and where I share them. I absolutely wanna make some small changes for the better. I know we've all run in circles about how bad 2016 was, but in all honesty.. it was really bad on a personal level for me. I did very little to push myself forward in many ways, and I hope that a year reset can motivate me to do better.
A lot of people's resolutions consist of social media and wanting to use it less, but in all honesty I think it would do me some good to use it more. I forget that art communities can be such a positive driving force for me in regards to inspiration and feedback about what I create.
In all honesty I actually owe you all an apology. I'm nearing 1000 watchers for the first time, and I've hardly been here to thank everyone for being along my wild ride. So.. I'm both sorry.. but I'm also really thankful for every one of you for being here. Seriously. Thank you.
It might be too big of a push, but I want to draw every single day this year. I refuse to let myself break the chain. It's so easy to get out of a loop, and once you're out of that loop, it's even harder to get back in. As long as I don't break the chain, I can keep pushing myself to do what I love and what I want to be
I can honest to god thank an episode of the Game Grumps for that one. LISTEN I KNOW THE EPISODE IS TITLED GASSY TODDLERS BUT THEY TALK ABOUT MOTIVATING SHIT OKAY????? LISTEN UP
so hey.... expect just a little more of me being around, in more ways than one <3 I just was able to place my order for my first shirt run, I'm planning a patreon, my etsy is doing well.. and I REALLY REALLY WANNA SELL AT MORE CONVENTIONS. I applied to Sakura-Con, but I wasn't accepted (speaking of which if anyone has any advice for cons that are less than two days away from Montana, I'd love to know?? I want to get myself out there but it takes LOTS of planning because of where I live)
uh.. this has gone on long enough.. big thanks to who took the time to read this, really. thank you. I look forward to your support
