New Year + Quick Question
First off, allow me to welcome in the new year of 2017. Hopefully this year won't be as screwed up as last year was.
Now the question.
While I was just sitting back reminiscing about the shows I used to watch when I was young (we're talking very early 90s), I started to remember that I had satellite TV back when I lived in Graceville FL at the time. However, this is where things get interesting.
As I'd be surfing through the channels, there'd be a message that'd pop up on the screen after about 20-25 channels, that'd read "Please hold while the dish is re-positioned." The large box on top of the TV would make a loud click sound after. At that time, I'd look out the window to the back yard, and watch as the satellite dish large enough to receive signals from the Mars Rover, would actually turn and tilt. Once it reached it's new coordinates, I was able to continue channel surfing.
I'm not sure if this type of satellite system is still in use today. But if so, what is it called?
That's about it.
Take care all.
