What were your other choices for fursonas?

That title could use some work. Nyeeeh.
But yeah! I'm curious! When you were thinking out what your fursona should be, what were some alternatives you had in mind?
Personally it stood between a normal panda, fox, and a deer, way back in ye olde times.
Brown raccoon won the day tho.
Enlighten me on your alternatives, and what made you decide in the end!

My first was just a bandicoot, since I'm a huge fan of Crash.
My second was gonna be a silent owl, since they're often times associated as wise, but also silent and that I'm a night owl, you could say. :P
And my last option aside from a cyber dragon was just gonna be a sloth, since I'm also a lazy guy at times.
Overall, I picked a dragon since it shared a lot of those traits mentioned above, they have a den of their own, much like me, and then I decided to make him Cyber since I'm always fascinated by technology and always researching cybernetics and things of the sort. ^.^
So I adopted my fursona. :3
I love him but I kinda feel like a deer would've been a better choice.
I knew I wanted a big, big tail and a simple pattern that didn't have to be followed exactly -- I didn't want to be a hassle to artists with lots of marks, designs, or colors. I figured black and white is about as simple as it gets, and a skunk fit the bill. I was very hesitant (given the obvious downside of skunks), but after discussing it with the person who convinced me to join FA in the first place, he supported the decision and I ultimately went with it.
originally I decided he was a wolf but didn't like that
and finally made him an anteater (which he has stayed this whole time)
