well a friend was not able to get online that time so I tried to get a second one using his informations and it worked at the end.
his credit card his data, his e-mail etc.

I don't think that is any scandalous to help out friends in need but it is sad that you did not get one. I'm sorry.
they announced a waiting list. Put your name on it asap.

Good for you and your friend, but that is not the point.
Some people appearently managed to get several rooms on one single credit card.
That is very unfair to those poor furries which now still hang up in the air and worry.

Wie Dhary schon auf Furbase geschrieben hat - rein rechnerisch wird am Ende (fast) Jeder ein Zimmer im Hotel bekommen, aber jetzt muss erstmal das Chaos aufgeräumt werden, das der Buchungsprovider verursacht hat, das kann ein paar Tage dauern. Also nur keine Panik :)

Mittlerweile ist es auch nicht mehr so schlimm. Wir haben ja die Einträge im Furbase und auf Facebook verfolgt.
Meine Jungs waren da deutlich aufgebrachter. Und da vesuch ich natürlich die Anspannung mit zu lösen.

Da wir das die letzten Jahre mit der problemlosen Buchung anders gewohnt waren, war dieses Debakel schon ein Schreckmoment.

Großes Problem war die Ungewissheit.
Und dass die infos nur Tröpfchenweise kamen.
Aber die Verantwortlichen waren ja sicherlich auch überrascht und überfordert.

Nun sind wir hoffentlich auf der Warteliste und schaun mal wie die Geschichte ausgehen wird. :3

Or if one is skilled wanderer and street-smart, alternative hotel is always an option. The only downside is that after suiting, a shower is quite necessary....

I wouldn't mind sleeping in another hotel or hostel, if we did not have our suits.
Now none of us wants to ride subway or suburban train in full suit or even in a plushie.

We received a mail from registration today and we are now on the waiting list.
I'm sure things will work out for all of us in time. =]

I'v kept my suit in fursuit lounge for EF 20 and 22.

I'v attended EF 18,19, 20, 21 and 22 and only once have I stayed at the main hotel. Thankfully 18 and 19 had that Intercity hotel right next to Maritim. Plus I was not alone. then again, I do have a slightly romantic views on the camaradrie of furries worldwide...

Back in EF 20, I walked 10 blocks back to another hotel where I was staying in a full suit in the small hours of the morning and only people who stopped me were a group of three arabic boys who wanted to photograph me. After that occurrence I was told that the area I had walked through is considered unsafe....

So yeah, the question of alternative hotels is a double-edged sword for us fursuiters. But I think it's a bridge worth crossing over. I'v had only positive experiences about EF

Leaving your suit in the lounge means you have to trust every single one that goes in there.
That is very much to ask.
After talking to staff members, we know now there have been incidents with damaged suits in the recent years.
And we noticed that last year the security that's supposed to watch who goes in the lounge was often missing.

I'm also personally quite reluctant getting in and out of suit in front of other people.
But that is also a good thing for the lounge users because I tend to get naked after suiting. ^^,
