I'd say you'd do well with grabbing business with commissions, you draw super good and plenty of people would agree there I'm sure, should go for it I'd say :o

Price is a big one you need to work out of course, it largely depends on how much you're comfortable taking from people along with the time and effort put into your work, you need to balance between those and decide what's best in your mind. In your shoes I'd be charging between $35-$50 for something fully coloured+shaded+background-ed as a wide estimate but it also depends on what you'd offer (like I'd charge more for comics and maybe per page too). If you wanted you could always throw me a note for further advice if you like as I don't wanna textwall you here, I've got a few years of commission artist experience under my belt so I could at least offer advice based on my perspective -3-\

Commissions would be great for ya!~ Given the change in circumstances, there's nothing weird with accepting payments for a service being rendered! Good on ya for the journal asking for opinions though!
