~*~*~*~*~ 1. Been in the fandom for...
Coming up on 11 years soon, and 10 years on FA as of Feb. 4th.
2. Found the fandom how?
I knew of furry art since middle school through a few artists such as David Hopkins (Jack webcomic) and Tracy Butler. I didn't know about furries as a subculture until a classmate in college brought me to a fur meet after I mentioned Jack to her. I find it odd I could follow all the art for so long and not know about the fandom as a subculture until that point.
3. Chose your species cuz...
Originally it was because my friends and I were fans of CLAMP manga in high school. The authors draw themselves with animal ears and tails, and I started drawing myself with fox ears and a tail because it matched my hair.
4. Why/how did you choose your name?
When I made my actual fursona I was playing around with flower related names for weeks. Then in a particularly romantic, Rusty compared me to a rare flower that blooms in the desert. It made me think of the song. Hence, Desert Rose.
5. If you had to change your species what would you choose?
I... no. Fox.
Okay fine... um... maybe a kirin? Or, ya know, my deer. But I just can't get behind hooves as a 24/7 thing. I'd probably come up with some fantasy creature.
6. What percentage of your friends are furries?
Definitely more than 50% of my close friends are from the fandom at this point. And a few of those that weren't originally from the fandom have been converted, muahahahaha.
7. If you've been, favorite furry con and why?
I've been to 10 FC's in a row now, and aside from that I've only been to AC'09. FC is home.
8. Got a fursuit?
Indeed! ^-^
9. RP'ing is:
Generally tabletop these days. And even then not very often anymore.
10. Are you open about being a furry, I.E if it comes up in conversation
I don't try to hide it from anyone.
11. Gay / Straight / bi?

12. Ever kissed another furry?
This is silly question.
13. Do you have adult art of your fursona? If yes, post favorite
Nothing really 18+. At least not posted online. It's funny, when I was younger my fursona was an outlet for my sexuality, but now she's either just me, or sometimes an outlet of my innocence. Adult art of her feels almost the same as posting actual nudes. >///<
14.Ever hooked up with another fur?
Another silly question.
15. Opinion on murrsuits?
Not my thing. I'm not gonna judge others that enjoy it, but after the work I put into my suit and the effort I've put into taking care of it, I would never want to use it, or any suit, in such ways. Also, an unchanging, unblinking expression ain't exactly bedroom eyes. Kind of a turn-off. Not to mention, Rusty isn't terribly interested in fursuits for any reason. If I came into the bedroom for sexy times in suit, I'd be sleeping on the couch. Metaphorically at least, lol! XD
16. Do you have a kink related to the fandom? If yes, post the one your most open about, if you dare ;)
Specifically fandom related? Not that I can think of. Kinks in general? I AM a vixen you know.
17. Are you in any 18+ Telegram groups? Name one.
I've been on Telegram for a week. I'm not sure what this insanity is, but I love it. I'm so far in one group with some close friends. It wasn't made to be 18+, it just goes there sometimes because furry shenanigans. Seriously, the stickers that exist. I can't even.
