The early ideas being passed around the right leave me not particularly concerned. We're probably gonna see much lower subsidies, but we might also be seeing greater medicaid availability for those with the least. I'd much prefer that, as it would be another step towards single-payer, something that can be taken advantage of in 2018/2020.

I doubt the TPP is gonna be replaced with anything, honestly. Trump's not a big supporter of "free trade" agreements, and honestly, I agree with the man in at least that area. They always look good for the short-term, but in the long term, the damage they do to our economy and job market is extensive.

Well...actually...Hillary was talking about shit that was going to lead to WWIII with Russia. Especially her desire to get us balls-deep into Syria and establish no-fly-zones over it; due to proximity with Russia, that would have been tantamount to actually encroaching on Russian airspace, and yet she was chasing that rabbit right down the hole. Yeah but in order to understand why Russia flexes its muscles like that, you have to understand its economic base, and that is its supply of natural gas. Russia needs to have its influence in Ukraine, Syria, and the Baltic secured or at least with the shadow of its military looming over them in order to safeguard its pipelines for both import of raw material and exports of refined natural gas to Europe and to the middle east and the Mediterranean. Without that, Russia's economy is guillotined, and it would sink into a depression worse than the aftermath of the fall of the USSR. It would never recover. The global situation that would follow would be a nightmare scenario of unbelievable proportions.

Russia is, in truth, a paper tiger. The economic might of the US is so powerful that when we put sanctions on them for what was happening in Ukraine, they nearly suffocated. People fail to understand just how powerful the American economy truly is; we can literally write rules in the global marketplace that will bring 1st world nations to their knees within months. The reason we don't is because there's no profit in doing so. It's in our economic best interests to have a dynamic global market with as many competitors, producers, and consumers as possible, because whatever happens in the markets over there affects the markets over here.

I dunno where your thinking that Russia will go to war with Europe is coming from, either; Europe is 29% of all of Russia's oil and natural gas exports. Putin's spent the last decade opening up trade with the EU by using Russia's vast natural gas reserves and the vastly lowered prices Russia can offer in comparison to the middle-east, which has been price-gouging Europe for decades on oil.
