Question: Strange TF Species?

General
Hey all!
Quick update: Just posted a story and have a few more in reserve and am now working on a few more, mostly trades and collaborations now that things aren't so busy. The TF story contest is still going on, I've got a couple submissions within the past week, there's still plenty of time to submit! More details can be found here !
Anyways, on to the question. There seems to be some common species in transformation--foxes, dragons, wolves, etc--so what are some species you'd like to see more of, especially in stories? Personally it's insects for me, but I know those bug most people so I haven't really posted any of that yet.
Thanks!

The world could use more unusual chimeric TFs too. Like a chicken/cow hippogryph. Or a hippodragon. Or a Poodlesaurus Rex. :P
Ok that last one was really running with the journal title more than species I'd like to see more of in stories. x3
Just to name a few.
always looking for good bug TF's. It's too rare to find good stories with that kind of transformation.
Idea: dirty bomb goes off at a remote school. Everyone is evacuated to a nearby field full of flowers. Initially, everyone huddles under a grove of trees, but then they turn into bumble bees. The principal would become the queen and the vice principal a drone to start egg production. There would be an initial panic, but then instinct kicks in as their clothes fell off from them rapidly shrinking. They don't start changing until they are less than a foot high. They change as they reach proper bee size and they make a hive in a bee hive box that was left in the field. It ends with all the new bees doing what bees do and a truck arriving to take them away as planned.
But I don't see much cephalopods or mollusks (bivalves in particular). One such story could revolve around someone getting a nipple piercing with a pearl on it and turn into a clam by folding over it while wanting to protect it or whatever oysters like to do.
Erotic raccoon stories are uncommon.
Not a lot of seal or walrus stories
Anemone could work if you had someone else turn into a clown fish with them. Probably at a zoo laboratory where they "aquire" new specimens.
I have more I could come with if you need more.
Bugs is a big one, both anthro and feral, rarely seen them.
Opossums and Koalas could use some story love.
On the topic of bugs, butterflies are something I think could be cool and a topic I haven't seen a lot of.
I should get to work on my own space raptor species so people will hop on the train for that 'n get some tf for em.
Excuse me, I think I'm scheduled for a rock-pelting at the gallows today.
And overall I just wish there were more Bats though at least they are more common than the others I mention.
I love insect and plant critter tfs but they tend to squick people sadly.
(I personally love insecty stories, just to note.)
And looking at other responses I'd agree with fungus.
More insect TFs are a fun idea too, there's so much potential with hives, hive minds, and more.
Hydra stuff and some of the more ignored Pokemon like Cacturne could be fun as well.
