I honestly wasn't expecting PNG transparency to fail in FA avatars. Honestly, I'm not sure how I could intentionally mess that up if I wanted to. Perhaps it's some kind of hack so Firefox looks broken like IE does?

EDIT: I've known this a while, but figured I should point it out. Seems FA converts avatars to GIFs for whatever reason. I don't see why, myself. I mean, they host a huge amount of artwork, some of which is very large. What harm can leaving avatars in their original format do?

This mod, however, is looking awesome. It's not just HL in HL2, not just HL with better graphics, it's being improved and expanded to how the modders believe HL:S should have been.
As for Black Mesa Source, I've been watching that and can't wait for it to be finished. The only real difference I noticed from Half Life 1 and Half Life 1 in the source engine is the hanging box jumping puzzle near the start of the game got more difficult because they swung around. :P
