I am in Canada! Other news and new freedom - Feb 2017
8 years ago
Hi everyone! :D
So, I finally succeeded to post new materials here, after more than one year! As I explained in my fall journal, I had been pretty busy recently. I'll catch up some news.
First, my play went very well! Thank you again for the support I got from some of you. The path to making it real had been long, with proof-readings and cuts that took me months, people who abandoned the project, planning problems because of coordination with school stuff, etc. At least, we made it, succeeded in having a video of it, and everyone was glad to have been part of this adventure.
After this play which ended in the beginning of October, I wanted to make some pause in my writing - and I also had to catch up on my studies, since the end of the first semester was coming. Exams were done in December, now I'm hoping to have passed them.
Furthermore, I had to prepare my departure for my second semester, which I am spending abroad! I am in Canada, on Prince Edward Island, since the beginning of January. Settlement, mind setting and semester beginning took me some time before I could get back to write. It is also taking me some time to meet new people - I am not the extrovert type, haha ^^'
Oh, I got 21 years old in January, too. Apparently, it's an important age for American people, and I am "truly" adult now? In France, the legal age is 18, so I don't really know what it means for American citizens haha. Anyway, I don't like alcohol at all, so nothing changed. :P
On the bad news side, two weeks ago, I also lost my grandfather, thing which didn't help to cheer me up. It is the first time I lost someone in my family since I am in age to fully understand what "death" means. For months he was in the hospital, so it didn't happen all of the sudden, but since October the family situation wasn't shining with positiveness. It was a weird, sad, difficult thing (still is) because of the relationships we had with our grandfather, but as Isle told me, it is still a lost (again, thank you for your support, man). I didn't talk about it here because I don't know why. But well, I start to talk a bit more now. At least I try.
Of course, these months were also spent in political and societal context that can be quite oppressing sometimes. I can't imagine what it is like for people living in the US. In France, next Presidential elections are in April, and I was careless enough to not inform myself before my departure - now I know that I would not be able to vote. So I'm condemned to wait and see and hope that we do not elect someone terrible. Yay.
On the entertainment side, I discovered League of Legends (if anyone here is on the EU West server, don't hesitate to message me so that we can have a game or something). I also played Pokkén Tournament (Garchomp and Charizard <3), and also Pokémon Go this summer, as everybody on Earth. The 7th Pokémon generation games, Sun and Moon, were released too! They are surely one of the best installment in the franchise to my mind. Coming back to PC gaming, I'm also DAMN excited about Mass Effect: Andromeda coming in March, but for that, I have to buy a new laptop... Uh.
Last point, what about my next writings?
For FA, of course, I'll continue on AIRMPS. I will see if I continue right away with the fourth day or if I want to write a little story or anything else. I also tried yesterday a thing that I wanted to do since a long time, which is essay writing. I like to have diverse material here, and it allowed me to talk about a topic that I could not fit easily on an entertaining story.
I'll try to catch up with articles for the website for which I'm an editor since four or five years. It has also been too long without posting there, so I have to write something for them because I can't continue to feel bad about not working for them too haha. Moreover they are the first Internet community I met, so I am very attached to them. And since it is a Pokémon fansite, I am not about to lose interest in it.
Last but not least, for my personal project as Septentrion, I will try to move on after posting a bit on Internet. I have more time than ever during this semester, and Canada has the perfect northern setting and landscapes to get inspired. However, I don't know when I'll be able to translate other parts of it to post it on the dedicated account. After working on AIRMPS, I miss a bit writing in French, whatever for the easier flow of thoughts or the pace of writing haha. Just to say that I carried on working on this novel.
Moreover, I am a bit more free than before, also, don't hesitate to ask if you need help or any project of your own. I am open to any collaboration. I would be glad to help you in any way, if you want advice, an opinion about a scenario, or in search for someone who deals a bit with writing.
Apart from that all, from me to you, I wanted to renew my "thank you" to all of you, even for those who started to follow me during my inactivity. It's always a pleasure to see that my writing can still be enjoyed, and it helps me so much when I don't find the will to write. If by any chance some of you are around PEI, Canada, tell me! I also may travel a bit in the country, so maybe there would be a chance to meet.
It was also a pleasure to continue to follow some of your works. I am glad seeing new artists coming, and all this small world getting bigger day after day.
That's it everyone! I hope you'll like the new AIRMPS chapter (twice longer than the previous ones omg), and that it would be worth the wait. As always, I came here daily, so feel free to comment or send me any shout or note.
Take care, and I hope you are all going fine! :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather, I also recently lost mine so I feel your pain. My condolences to you and your family.
Ah, a fellow PC Gamer! Don't see PCMR brethren too often. Yeah Mass Effect has me hyped too, we'll have to wait and see how it turns out. BioWare is known for making great games though, so I highly doubt they will disappoint.
While I'm sure a lot of people (me included) would prefer the 4th day of AIRMPS right away, write what you enjoy writing most. Just make sure it has some gassy stuff for us fellow fart fetishists heheh. I would honestly be extremely happy if you continued with AIRMPS straightaway though!
I hope your stay in Canada goes well my friend.
Thanks for your support. I really appreciate that. :)
I'm soooo much hyped for ME:A yeah ^w^ Well, "PC Gamer" is a great word, the only game I truly played on PC is the Mass Effect Trilogy, no real other "big game"... I have difficulties finding a good PC to play, and furthermore the installation / download / memory /lag/bugs (etc) are sources of anxiety to me... All these necessities or matters that are kind of a nightmare for me who is not at ease with informatics :/ I almost always prefer gaming devices, because you just have to insert your cartridge/CD, and no problem to play.
Hehe ok, I take note about this :D I'll write about what I want, but I often change my mind for what I want when it comes to my stories on FA, so there's hope for everything!
It went very well until now! I do my best so to make it continuing as such haha. Thank you my friend. :)
