Commission terms of service 2017
Here are my TOS for this years set of commissions, if there are any questions please feel free to comment on this journal, you can find my prices here:https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22649640/
General Commission information
I am a digital artist and often stream works in progress through art streams on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays occasionally more through the week. I focus on bringing characters to life in everyday situations or in a high fantasy setting. Characters reading books, drinking coffee, drawing, planting or relaxing are all things I love drawing.
Please email me any requests for commissions at Taemin_Hawke[at]outlook.com with the subject as [Commission slot request] or [Commission question] for clarifications.
For the sake of keeping commissions simple and done in a timely fashion, as a standard I have some limits on what I can get done:
Will do:
Furries/Anthro
Fanart (Undertale, My Little Pony, Pokemon, Guild Wars 2, Borderlands, etc.
High fantasy themes (Armor, weaponry, castles, capes, ornate carvings, mounts, famillars)
Some sci-fi (Well referenced mechs, weapons, guns, armor sets)
Cities
Scenes inspired by nature
Won’t do:
Vehicles
Character Design
Character reference sheets
NSFW (some gore okay)
Fetishes
Everything else can be negotiated, just ask upon first contact whether I can accommodate your requests at that time.
I strive for a very quick turn around after approval on the sketch. I do not hold commission slots, when contacting please have all references supplied and information sent with your original email as this will greatly help me plan so your commission is done promptly. If you respond quickly to any messages I may send for clarifications or updates the commission should be completed within a month, however if you do have a specific date extra charges may apply, please be sure to include the date when requesting a commission slot.
Types of commissions and prices (USD)
All my commissions are fully rendered in a painterly style and I do not offer sketches, or colour roughs separately. Images will all come with a simple background – usually nature inspired but you can request simple backgrounds (eg. Bedroom, meadow) etc. Complex backgrounds can be done but will require you request them when discussing if you would like a slot but come as a standard on full body commissions.
Payment Methods
I accept payment through paypal invoices only.
Account email: Taemin_Hawke[at]outlook.com
Payment Is required once I begin work on your commission. If two weeks go by without communication and the payment has not be supplied, the commission will be canceled and the slot will be reopened to others. I will send an invoice for half or full payment (after it is agreed upon) to your paypal email included in the contact email.
If the value of the commission is close to $100 or over, partial payment is available. This can be negotiated within the email for requesting a commission. I am flexible with payment options, eg. Half on start, final half after completion.
Refunds
If, for any reason you need to cancel the commission part way through I am able to give a partial refund depending on how much work was done and how long the commission had been in progress.
If however, I cancel the commission at any stage I will offer you a full refund.
If you are unsatisfied with the work, I do not offer a refund. Instead I stress to please speak up if you would like to change anything at the many progress reports during the commission. I will email you via the email supplied or your preferred method (eg. Notes on DA, or messages on FA). There are 3 approval stages, the initial sketch, the colour design and background sketch, and the final appraisal. If you would like something changed, please inform me.
Procedure:
1. Please send me an email with the subject title [Commission request]. Within this email please provide references and a brief paragraph of your character or the idea that you would like. Please also include the style of commission you would like, preferences on background and a due date if you have one.
2. After I receive the email I will look over the request, I may reject it due to complexity or negotiate a different idea in order to make us both happy to go ahead with the commission, in the case of having all slots filled, I will ask if you would like to be placed on the waiting list. I may also reject a request do to time restraints but I will inform you specifically why in my reply email.
If you are successful, we will discuss price and where the price comes from (eg. Wings, extra heads, complicated clothing).
3. Once the price is decided upon, I shall invoice you either a partial amount, or full amount and begin to work on the sketch. Once payment is confirmed I shall show you the preliminary sketch, and we may discuss any changes if you are unhappy with the idea. If you would like a resketch I will happily redo it, you may have three sketches to choose from before needing to pick one to continue the commission.
4. After a sketch has been confirmed, I will send through a progress report and 2-3 colour variations for you to choose.
5. The final rendering begins, once completed the image is sent to you depending on how you paid.
A) If you paid Half& Half I will invoice you for the second half and send a low resolution watermarked version. Once the second half of the payment is cleared I will send a full resolution unwatermarked version to your email we have been conversing via. You may also request the PSD file of the image.
B) If you paid in full at the beginning you will receive the full sized fully rendered image as soon as it is completed via email or private message of your preferred website.
Now it’s yours!
Everything has been finalized and you now hold your commission, what happens next? That’s up to you, every piece I make will contain my signature and the year. If you do post it elsewhere, please do credit me. You may edit the image, use it for banners, badges, print it out etc. As long as it is not being used for commercial use, go nuts!
