"Subversive" radio add

While on the road this last Saturday I happened to hear what struck me as a rather odd radio spot.
Dark music I didn't recognize plays in the background. The announcer talks in serious toned. I can't remember most of the words just "Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Possibly the most subversive film of the year. Zootopia."
Has anyone heard this add, and do you have any idea who it is aimed at?

well it is nominated - but I'm guessing its aimed at the academy members, as a means to make them vote for the movie

Looks to be so. I figured the voting was over by then but a Google search shows the deadline is actually today.

I recall similar from years back - of sudden and oddly placed adverts for movies that were clearly trying to jog the memory of academy members for movies that had come out almost 9 months prior
