My friend has been getting so much positive reaction from people, to where it seems like everybody was waiting for a game like this!

Absolutely, I'm glad that he is. It's true, I've always been a fan of trying to recapture the feeling of older aesthetics and PS1-N64 low poly is as legitimate as the rest. I'm glad to know there's going to be a game like it again, and I'd love for more people to think about that style in general. 3D modeling sounds so tough to me but IF I were to get into it, it'd be a style more like this.
