i need some help please.

I just can't do this anymore, im freaking out, and im so upset about it. some of you might say it's childish of me to act this way about the subject, but you dont get it. i've been trying to do this for a long time, since i was 5.
No matter what I design, or what I adopt. I jsut can't get a fursona, yeah i have a ton of oc's but none stick.. at all.
i have three characters i love alot, but idk. UHG
i hate this, i keep trying and trying, but nothing works out. i need help.
its mostly the color pallet, some times the design. i just can't do it. i might jus tnot have a fursona at all.
I might jsut draw commissions from now on, and ofc gifts. i cant do this!

The thing is, just remember this is YOUR design, they don't have to look like you or even be exactly like you. They can have aspirations that you have, they can have qualities you look up to, etc.
I know how hard it is to connect to a design/character, it took me like a year to find something I connected to.

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble but you'll find something, there's no pressure at all to do it!
When designing a 'sona, I recommend trying to make it very similar to yourself. Something you can connect with best. Not just in appearance. Imagine yourself seeing the world through this character's eyes, feeling whut they feel. Or imagine they're feeling whut you feel. You're trying to create a digital self, a reflection of you that is all that you are, and all that you are not. Only real difference is how they look. They'll be a bit fluffier than your actual self.
Not sure if that will help at all, but I wish you the best of luck.
First you need to find a animal/s that you connect with. Who's personality and traits suits you the most.
Next is giving a color scheme to your character. Ones that would best suit the abilities of your character whether they're natural abilities or not.
Next is a backstory if any to further develop your character.
These are just some of the steps that I know of.
