Question:
How do ya'll prefer your stream announcements? Should it be a submission? Just a journal? Journal and submission?

I think a Journal and a submission would bring some more attention to your stream and I've seen a lot of people doing their announcements. Could always try it for a couple weeks and see if it brings more to the stream then before.

For me, just a journal entry is enough. Because I'm watching you, I'm notified whenever you post in your journal and thus, that tells me when you've doing, or have done a stream.
To me personally, the submission is simply redundant.

People are less likely to check journals than submissions, as far as I've noticed.

I usually check both journal notifications and submission notifications whenever I hop on here, so it'd be a little redundant. Regardless, it'd probably help people who don't currently watch you.

I tend to catch your journals because Im not watching a zillion people, but for those who do watch a zillion people, a submission is much more likely to be viewed than a journal.

But it will be better if there is the announcement before steam starting

A journal seems enough to me. I would like to be warned earlier though as I miss most of your streams.
